FOTD: Pop of Garnet

Happy Saturday! I am home just taking it easy today before I get going on some packing for my big move. On days like today, I really just like to take makeup risks and try some new color combinations out. Today's look was inspired by a photo that I saw on a makeup forum. I put a pop of a Garnet color onto the lower lash line to give some extra ooomph to the look. It's subtle, but it seems to have warmed up the eye look on me. I think it really helps bring out the brown in my eyes.

The photo to the right was taken in natural lighting without flash next to a window.

Here are two more photos taken in the same lighting. One with eyes open and one with eyes closed.

Products used:
Face:
Monistat Anti Chaffing Gel (primer)
MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation
MUFE Full Cover Concealer
NYC bronzer in Sunny

Eyes:
UD Primer Potion
Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara
Lorac Pro palette - Garnet, Pewter, Black, Cream,  and Slate

Lips:

Here's an up-close photo of the eye so you can really see what it looks like on hooded lids.

Let me know what you think of this look and have a great Saturday!!

FOTD: Falling in love with Naked again

As some of you may know, I own both of Urban Decay's Naked palettes. I have owned Naked one for about a year and Naked 2 for about 6 months or so. I fell in love with Naked1 when I first bought it. Used it all the time; however, as my collection has expanded I have used this palette less and less. For some reason today, I felt drawn to use it. I put it over the top of my new Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe. It really brought out the colors more than I have ever seen. I found myself feeling very, very pleased and motivated to use the palettes more. I also wanted to do a before and after with the Revlon Colorstay foundation that I am trying out.

Video Review: Revlon Lip Butter

Hi lovelies! After using the Revlon Lip Butters several times, I have decided to finally post a video review with some swatches. These are seriously the best lip colors that I have ever tried. They are so smooth and creamy. They are definitely worth buying, so check out this video and let me know what you think. :)

Sorry that the color isn't that great in the video. I am having some lighting problems since I have a basement apartment. I attempted to adjust the color, so hopefully it isn't too bad. Just in case, I have a pic of the swatches again for you.

Candy Apple on the left and Peach Parfait on the right.
